Appraisals

We appraise children's books and book art for our customers in several different ways.

Informal Valuation
As a favor to our customers, we are happy to provide a brief, informal, non-binding commercial valuation of your children's books or book art, based on our professional experience and the current market for those items. The information we need for informal book valuation is:

• Title
• Author
• Publisher
• Date of publication (including any indication of publication edition (first edition, second edition, etc.)
• Description of the book's condition (A = Fine; B = Good; C = Fair; D = Worn; F = Poor)

You may provide this information to us via email, fax or telephone, or you may call to make an appointment to bring your books or book art in to Children's Book Gallery.

Formal Appraisal
We provide professional, written, legally binding commercial appraisals of children's books and book art for tax, estate and other legal purposes. We charge a standard appraisal fee of $250 per hour for these professional services. Please contact us if you would like to know more about the steps in the formal appraisal process.
